This product arrived in lovely eco friendly packaging which should be the modern standard. A sweet little thank-you note & free sample (a hair mask) was included. After the first use of this cream, I admit I was impressed by the texture & pleasant smell - my hair is as silky as I’d ever dreamed, with a clean conscious to boot.

Now... for a little bit more meat in this vegan hair review!

I wasn't actually looking for a new heat protector, quite satisfied with my (mostly) organic & cruelty-free Aveeda Heat Relief Thermal Protector & Conditioning Spray, which was nice smelling and did the job justly enough... minus a few heinous ingredients. Usually I push past some unfamiliar names to an extent, but PPGS & PEGS will always be my bright red stop sign in my eyes, and I couldn't look past that.

This being said, I was sad to say goodbye to an empty spray bottle that boasted 25 pure flower & plant essences... it just wasn't worth it, not for me. So began a long two-nights worth of searching for my dream hair heat protector - which evidently became quickly just a search for any hair heat protector without harmful chemicals or nasties I didn't want, and let me tell you, this Organic Heat Protecting cream was my beacon in a sea of confusing, chemical filled products I didn't want anywhere near my head!

One day in, and my hair is exactly how I dreamed - silky & salon smooth, it even made my hair straightener do a better job. Oh, and it's a flyaway tamer too - need I say more? It wasn't the sweetest smelling, but it's better than I'd hoped.

End result: Naturally beautiful hair, prepped & protected for heat styling!
